Do you accept credit cards and Tap to Pay?
Yes! We accept most major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Clark Taxi also supports Tap to Pay, so you can quickly and securely pay using your phone, smartwatch, or contactless card.
Do you have a flat rate price?
Yes — our rides are offered at predictable, upfront flat rates. Local trips within a city are flat-rate, while multi-stop or round-trip rides use metered pricing. Regional trips are quoted upfront when you call or text.
Can I schedule a ride for a specific time or date?
For in-town trips (point A to point B) in Winchester or Richmond, rides are on-demand only — no advance scheduling is offered, so we can get you picked up as quickly as possible.
For longer trips outside your city, scheduling in advance is available to ensure a vehicle is ready and you arrive on time.
Can you pick up food, drinks, or household items?
No — Clark Taxi is a taxi service, not a delivery service. However, we can:
- Take you where you need to go to get items
- Wait at drive-thrus or for quick pickup orders
Drivers do not go inside stores or restaurants to shop on your behalf.
Is it extra for someone to ride with me?
No — the trip price does not change for additional passengers as long as the pickup and destination are the same. Maximum 4 passengers per vehicle.
How do I apply to drive?
Call 859-749-3337 and say you’re interested in driving. We’ll guide you through the process.
Do you make stops or wait at locations?
Yes — short stops are fine, but waiting time is charged. We’re happy to wait for:
- Quick errands (convenience stores, drive-thrus)
- Pickup orders from restaurants, pharmacies, or retail stores
Please note:
We do not wait while you shop inside Walmart, but we can wait for pickup orders or pharmacy pickups.
We do not wait for pawning items; fare must be paid upfront and you’ll need to call again for the return trip.
