Clark Taxi is hiring a full-time employee driver to join our Winchester-based taxi operation.

You will drive a company-provided vehicle, work a scheduled shift, and receive trips through company dispatch. You do not need to provide your own vehicle or take on the costs of operating one.

You earn 30% of the fares you drive, plus 100% of your tips.

When you are productive and complete more trips, you earn more.

This is an employee position with a company vehicle provided. Clark Taxi handles the vehicle and its operating expenses so you can focus on driving and serving passengers.

A More Predictable Workday

We use demand-based scheduling to put drivers where and when they are most needed while giving employees a more predictable workday. Your workday will have a known start time and one fixed-length break during your shift. However, the end time of your shift may vary each day based on real-time demand.

What You’ll Do

  • Accept and complete trips through company dispatch
  • Transport passengers safely and professionally
  • Provide courteous, dependable service
  • Follow established procedures for passenger transportation
  • Maintain accurate trip and payment records
  • Keep the company vehicle clean and presentable
  • Communicate with dispatch throughout your shift
  • Serve passengers throughout Winchester and surrounding communities

Trips may include local transportation, medical appointments, shopping, work trips, airport transportation, and regional trips.

Company Vehicle Provided

You drive a Clark Taxi vehicle rather than using your personal vehicle for work.

Clark Taxi provides the vehicle and handles its normal operating costs, including:

  • Fuel
  • Commercial auto insurance
  • Routine maintenance
  • Repairs
  • Licensing and vehicle-related expenses

You don’t have to put business miles, fuel costs, or wear and tear on your personal vehicle.

Requirements

  • At least 25 years old
  • Valid Kentucky driver’s license
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass required background and driving-record checks
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Safety-focused
  • Professional with passengers
  • Able to communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
  • Familiar with Winchester and surrounding areas, or willing to learn

No prior taxi experience is required. We will train the right person in our procedures and dispatch system.
